Radio Popolare Roma is the new free and independent radio station of Rome.
It was born on 9th November 2007, meeting up Radio Popolare Milano and the Brancaleone Social Centre.
Radio Popolare Roma, every day, broadcasts almost ten hours of information about national, foreign, cultural and arts events. It's a glocal radio: Rome is our main background, reporting action, news and experiences. Moreover, the city is reported in a double way : every day, in fact, our correspondents are on air, all day long, telling news and events.
Every day, associations and movements add their contribution to the city report: the station, at the moment, broadcasts programmes in cooperation with the Rete dei Comitati Cittadini (Network of city committees), la Città dell'AltraEconomia, Action, Lettera 22, Legambiente Lazio, Progetto Diritti, Rom communities of Rome, L'Inkontro, the Comics School of Rome, Sentieri Selvaggi.
A 20 people editorial staff works every day at Radio Popolare Roma, keeping it on the air and alive all day long, every day. Always live, free and independent.
